Society of Virtual Assistants Newsletter: April 2014

Hi there,Virtual PA-233

I’m off to London on 25th April for the UK Blog Awards – keep your fingers crossed!  I’m taking along my wee sis and making a weekend of it by seeing some old London pals, so I’m going to enjoy it whatever happens!  It is such a big honour to be shortlisted as in the Top 10 UK digital/tech blogs, I’m thrilled just to be nominated.

This month we have a couple of special deals:

Really looking forward to seeing some of you at the Office Management and PA Exhibition 15/16 May and the Northern VA Collaboration event on 31 May.  Not long to go now!

Particularly for VA only events, it’s important to show your support as otherwise we just won’t have these kind of events – and they are so important for the future of our industry (not to mention your own business success!).  Having organised a few myself, I know just how much financially and emotionally the organisers put on the line – get out there and show your support!

I’m doing my patented Top 10 Tips for Becoming A VA talk – so there will be loads of opportunities to ask questions afterwards – a great first stop if you are thinking of becoming a VA and aren’t sure about making the leap.  Book the day off work, come along and say hi and have a great day out!  It’s free!

IYOTSA 2014 – monthly themes

You’ll have seen the somewhat cumbersome “IYOTSA” tag on a few posts recently – it stands for “International Year Of The Secretary/Assistant” and is a push for PAs and Secretaries to step into the limelight for 2014…

Each month we have themes to talk about – last month it was:
