Clients and VAs often complain to us about the quality of outsourcer there is out there… Here at SVA we want to promote best practice so that it reflects well on the whole industry, so we put together some tips on how to outsource your work safely.
Tip 1: Write a job description: You’d be surprised by how many people skip this off their To Do List. Write down a job description of your ideal VA – will they be local, have certain skills, be reliable, available at particular times, able to type at 100wpm? If your candidates don’t match these criteria – DON’T HIRE THEM!!! You have time to get it right. If you think you are perhaps asking too much of one person, do two separate job descriptions and hire two people. Knowing what you want is the first step to getting it.
