Hi there Im quite new to all this and not how to set a charge for this recent email, hourly, per item or a set charge a month? can anyone advise me Id really appreciate it.
email :?
At present I require a virtual office address where our mail can be sent. The mail would then be forwarded on to us every week unless it is addressed to a particular department which will tell you the mail is urgent and needs to be sent immediately.
We have two project coming up - one is the launch of our Trainer courses and the other is a launch of a new soap product. We are busy with the basic planning at the moment and will have a better idea what support we need but if you could quote for the price per 1000 words or whatever you use that would be good.
I would also like occasional telephone answering services when we are out of the office or busy. We have an o870 number that can be diverted and the 0870 number would come up on your caller display so you would know that the call is for us.
I look forward to your quotation.

Hi Linda,
Your message is all very vague and really no VA would be willing to quote on something as undefined and open-ended as this. You will also probaby confuse people because the forum is where we meet to chat and discuss things, not to post "teasers" like this.
Use the client search facility to find VAs who offer the core services you require. Then you need to approach them with a clearly defined outline of what you are looking for in terms of services, potential volumes, rates, etc. Set a mental time limit for people to get back to you. _________________ Sally

This email seems a bit dodgy to me. Have you dealt with them in the past or has it come out of the blue? _________________ Sara

I read it that the OP was looking for advice on how to respond to the email that they had received rather than posting for someone to take on a project. Please could the OP confirm their intention so that we can respond appropriately? _________________ Regards

I've read it that Bibbity etc has received this vague email and wants to know how to respond.
There are quite a few posts on the forum about providing mailing addresses for companies. Most of the responses have been don't touch, but I think there are one or two VAs who provide a mailing address.
I personally wouldn't as I don't want my home address used by someone else...
Hope this helps :? _________________ Carole Meyrick

Hard to tell really from her post because last August Linda was setting herself up in business as a trainer (or has been doing that for many years). Like I said, a strange and vague post, which has caused confusion. _________________ Sally
