Hi Everyone
My name is Rosie - I have a VA business based in the Scottish Borders, I am afraid I have been fairly inactive on here as I am on Mat leave at the mo - I had my wee boy 6 weeks ago so he is taking up alot of my time!
It is great to have the SVA forum and it is amazing how much it has grown in the year I have been signed up! I hope everyone is happy and finding lots of work!
All the best
Rosie |

Congratulations on your baby boy. Like most of us I set up my business when I decided to have children. It has its challenges but it does mean you are around for them. Make the most of the first 6 months because that just whizzes past in a haze of sleepless nights, health visitor visits, cooing grandparents and dirty nappies. Any trip outside the house is like preparing for a hike up the Eiger!!
My eldest is now just a month away from his 14th birthday and it is hard to remember them when they were little - so take lots of photos and film because later on you'll wish you'd taken more.
Enjoy. _________________ Sally

Hi Rosie
I set up my business when my son was 7 months old and worked part-time, which was challenging enough. He started school in September and now I'm struggling to fit all the work in to the school day.
Enjoy the time with your baby - the time goes so quickly! _________________ Regards

Hi Rosie
I'm from the Borders too and set up a year ago also after the birth of my son! Where are you based about? I'm in Cardrona, nr Peebles.
How's your business going? I was quite slow to get going but thankfully I've turned a corner and got regular clients.
Best wishes
