I talked to one of the marketing guys from this show and was going to attend last Friday. (Due to client workload I cancelled).

The organiser I talked with had not heard of the term virtual assistance (gasp!) so I "put him striaght" (politely of course).

It seemed like a great seminar topic...after all the target audience for the show could all use a VA at somepoint (even if not immediately). I offered to do a presentation at the next show in April, but unfortunately they were only interested if I spend thousands (literally) on a stand!

As new business start ups are not my niche I declined. It seems a shame that they weren't interested enough in the topic alone to run a presentation...after all it is a total win/win for their audience.

Anyone else tried to set up a speaking slot at similar events in other parts of the UK?

Kate
