|Assuming that this product works (and that's a BIG assumption!), you'd still need to understand how SEO works in order to make it get the right kind of visitors... I'll give you an example:
I had one VA using Google Adwords to drive traffic to her site - she was spending £80+/month on it, and optimising for the word "virtual assistant" but not getting any business - mostly because the people who used the term "virtual assistant" were looking for info on becoming one rather than being potential clients! She switched to sponsoring "typing services + her town" and got fewer hits, costing less money but more work...
To make these products work properly (and Google spends billions each month to make sure they DON'T outsmart their algorithm!) you still need to understand the basics of who would buy your services and what they would type into a search engine in order to find that service.
A lot of these "systems" rely on automatic emails sent to other website owners suggesting 3-way/2-way linking etc. It's very spammy, and you'd get much better results by handpicking the people you'd like to be associated with and approaching them directly for reciprocal links.
