Hello

I know a few of you have Paypal/Google checkout but I'm looking into clients being able to make ad hoc payments online.

E.g. Let's say they have a one-off piece of typing which costs £36.73 I'd like them to be able to log on, settle their bill and for it to clear into my account.

Paypal has a habit of reversing charges if a client complains, whether or not it is valid. (hasn't happened to me, but I know a couple of VAs who had this happen with fraudulent clients). Not sure if Google Checkout allows the client to enter in the amount...

Any others?

I use Google Checkout and all I do is send them a Google invoice, with the correct amount etc. Then the client just clicks on the link and pays. It is all really easy and terribly fast. The charges aren't too bad, but I do add them on top of the amount as it's not my preferred payment method.

yeah - I'm really looking for something that I don't have to create separate invoices for... Wishful thinking?

I do exactly the same as Sara, both in sending the invoice and adding the amount for charges on top. In saying that, don't get too many people opting to pay by card but it's good to have there should it be required.
