[BAJ-VPA]

Hi guys,

Thanks for providing such a great source of information for newbies like me! I set up BAJ-Virtual Personal Assistance in February - but it was in the planning stages from last July (even the website was up and running by October 2008!). I eventually resigned from my job as an office manager and have been left to gradually build my client base - I'm still working on that...any tips?!

I've wanted to start a home-based VA business for years and then something clicked last year and I bit the bullet and here I am - perhaps it was the idea of wearing jeans to work!

I'm taking it very slowly as, thankfully, we have another income that supports us both. I just want to make sure that I've got it right first time rather than have troubles later on. I had a lawyer write up my terms and conditions (I'm engaged to him so it was free!) but have had lots of trouble getting a press release in the local papers! They've said that they don't normally do 'business announcements' as it's as good as free advertising (which I guess it is! ) but how else does one get in there!
