Hello - I am also new to Virtual Assistants - I have a background in working with a CAMHS Team, and more recently a mental health charity. My contract finishes soon due to lack of funding and am setting myself up as a virtual assistant, I am at present based in London, but looking at moving back to Ireland where the concept is not so well known.
I have my website up and running, and am sending out mailings to organisations over there hoping that someone will "bite"
I look forward to getting involved in the forums and meeting you all
Best wishes

Hello Jean!
I believe there is some sort of Irish VA Association - could be worth getting in touch with them to get a feel for the market too.
You'll find that so many companies are cutting back they are looking at flexible ways of building teams, would it be worth asking your current employers if they would consider using you on a self-employed hourly basis?
Happy client hunting!
