Hi everyone
I will be travelling down to Glasgow on 4th December and will be popping back and forth from Edinburgh. I'll be around for 4 days and just wondered if there are any events happening.
I'm not on the mainland very often, so I thought it might be a good chance to do some networking.
If not, I suppose I'll just have to do shopping.........

On 4th Dec there is a Bizini lunch in Glasgow which our Emma is going to... She will be the one with the fabulous shoes!

Unfortunately your trip appears to fall between the Glasgow and Edinburgh Small Business Club meetings (one on 4th and the other is on the 9th). Looks like you just have to do some shopping!! Laughing

The Bizini lunch sounds interesting. As it would be my first networking event, can anyone give me a heads up as to what actually happens at them? Dont want to appear too ignorant!

I must admit I've not been to the Bizini one before, but generally the networking lunches consist of a bit of mingling beforehand over drinks, lunch (can be sit down/buffet style) and usually some kind of presentation on a topic of interest to small business owners. Occasionally there is a business card prize draw - remember to bring lots and lots of cards!

Top tip: don't get stuck talking to the same person out of politeness - being blatent and saying "Really nice to meet you, there's a few other people I'd like to meet so I'll catch up soon" isn't rude, it's expected! After all you are generally paying to meet people, so MEET PEOPLE!
