I've put it in this section because if I don't laugh I'll cry ;)
To start with the Tax Credits people have messed up and I haven't been paid :( It's not the largest of amounts but being off sick and not getting paid that is my main source of funds (hubby has paid all the bills this month). And of course my DD commitments come out this week (because usually there's a bit of money in the account). So I've had half a morning chasing that!
Then to prevent charges and act responsibly I've sent the next half speaking to the bank trying to swap money from savings to my account ... you'd think it was a simple process but obviously not because I've not set up telephone banking, instead I use internet banking but it's down :(
Then I've tried to ring Orange about my phone that went in 6 weeks ago for repair and despite going into the Orange shop and chasing it, being told I'd get a letter and still having nothing, my patience has run out! Ring the shop, it's a recording to ring 452 from my handset! So I ring that and try multiple different options but do you think I can actually speak to anyone??? That'll be a no then!
In the midst of all this my home phone handset died a death and I've had to lug the fax machine into the lounge, find extension leads for both phone and electric, squeeze my 8 yr old into a small gap to plug the phone lead in etc.
I'm exhausted, frustrated, bored and dying to giggle uncontrollably. What else could go wrong?
Well let me tell you ..... I think that despite saving my ovaries during my hysterectomy I "think" that the onset of the menopause has started (they said it might) as hot flushes, nightsweats, shakes and vivid dreams rule my world at the moment!
Today is the day I sat down with my things to do list and so far I've achieved nothing but been busy all day

Oh Emily - what a day! I think a nice glass (or three) of wine, a box of chocs and a 'hog the telly' night is in order!
Hmmmm - I wonder if I could claim the same for myself! _________________ Crystal Clear Virtual Assistant - an extra pair of hands for your business |
