Hi, I'm Wendy and I'm in the process of starting my on VA business. I am booked on some Business Start Up courses with Business Gateway starting in a couple of weeks.

So far I have set up a website - would love some feedback from you folks who have already started - this is not my finished product but still a work in progress. www.swiftadmin.co.uk

Apart from this, printing off some flyers and getting some freebie business cards printed I have not made any attempts at actually starting.

Please have a look and feel free to point out anything you think could be worded better etc...

Welcome to SVA. I'd make sure your website is up to scratch before you go doing a lot of advertising simply because it is your 'brochure' to the world and you really want the first impression you make to be as good as possible.

Superfluous full stops. Use consistent styles throughout and check capitals.

Personally I don't like the red against the grey. Although this is a basic "build it yourself" kit it has the capacity to do more.
