Hi, Just wondered if anyone is going to the VA Conference in Milton Keynes on 19 April? It'll be my first time meeting with others in the profession and I'm a little nervous (aaaah!). Wondered who to look out for. _________________ Peri Hill

I'll be there (if Lynds hasn't killed me by then!!)
Dress is usually smart/business - so I don't have a clue what to wear as generally the suit gets dusted off about once a year now! My pic is ont he www.virtuallysorted.com homepage - keep an eye out and come and say hello!
(I should really have a big SVA badge or something!!!)
I'm quite excited because meeting all the other VAs is very inspiring...both for the ones who have been in business for a while and those who are new and have a unique perspective. _________________ To support SVA please donate to: http://tinyurl.com/37urec |

I'm going too, travelling down on the Friday. If anybody going from the North East of England, I'm happy to car share. _________________ Angela Dawson

I would love to have gone but it is on the same day as a religious holiday so I can't which is a real shame. Oh well, maybe next year! Hope you all enjoy it. _________________ Yvette Segal

Bear in mind you have to deal with me for the whole trip down, in the car and overnight - it's understandable under the circumstances!!! LOL!
I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone though - come find me and say hello!

I'm not booked in for the Friday do but may consider going as I live in Hemel Hempstead (about 40 mins drive away). Do you know who
else is going on the Friday? Where are you staying? _________________ Alison Murray

Hi Angela
Unfortunately, won't be making it on the Friday. Friday's event is now fully booked so will just be coming for the day on Saturday. Looking forward to putting names to faces - good luck with the short-listing (had a peek at your profile on Ecademy, so understand you are waiting to hear).
Regards

Hope you all got back safely from Milton Keynes?
So lovely to meet you all again - and lovely to meet some people for the first time. I always really enjoy putting faces to voices/forum signatures etc. And you get so much more from meeting someone in the flesh!
A really great conference - the speakers were really interesting and informative. I'm actually ordering the Money Gym book. For those of you who didn't catch Carmen's latest book recommendation (and I was singing its praises too....) the book is: Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss. www.fourhourworkweek.com
Amazon has been entirely remiss about getting it to me despite being on order since January so I popped into Borders instead where it is one of their recommended reads. _________________ To support SVA please donate to: http://tinyurl.com/37urec |
