I am of course teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here, but please remember to submit your online tax return by 31st Jan and remember that on 30th January that millions of other Johnny-come-latelys will also be trying to get online. Year after year the whole thing crashes and it's all very stressful. Best advice? Do it now!!
(And yes, you still need to do one even if you didn't make any money - in fact they might even give you some money back!!)
Sally - stop laughing that I posted this!!! _________________ To support SVA please donate to: http://tinyurl.com/37urec |

Aha! Gold star for me then, 'cos I've filed on line and even organised for a payment to be sent to them as near to31 January as I can get away with! _________________ Carole Meyrick

Yes, I did my first tax return online recently and am getting the payment sorted. So I too am feeling good!
For any tax return online newbies like me, please note that you also have to pay by 31 January and to do the return you have to register first and then wait a week for info to come through the post!! _________________ Janet |

See that's why I love my accountant... she sorts all this out for me - I just need to send the cheque!

I'm feeling rather smug as I did mine months ago!!
I have to admit though that I only had to account for a salaried position for 11 months and Officebird for one so it was rather easy. I got a nice refund paid into my bank! _________________ Sara

And even then it may not work. If you use an accountant and want him/her to file online for you, allow more time as you get sent the stuff and the accountant gets it from you.
My tax return was done online last year so my accountant is set up to do my final end of EBS filing this year. Hopefully I won't have too much to pay! |
