Well done!!!
The other thing to do is to link to the article online somewhere and send it round all your clients/potential clients. I usually get a good bit of work out of doing that!

Thanks for the tip Caroline - great idea.
Must admit, getting a bit nervous. I get a bit tongue-tied when being interviewed. It's happening on Friday. The interview's by phone but the photographer's coming to my house.
Any tips on keeping my composure and not stuttering everywhere?

Just remind yourself that in "X" number of hours it will all be over. This is how I get over situations which cause butterfly tummies; and if you find the photographer intimidating, try thinking of him naked. It works, but you might find yourself grinning idiotically if he's nice looking! You'd certainly look happy and relaxed. _________________ Carole Meyrick

I'm all excited! They've finally put my story in my local paper. Two weeks too late but better late than never. And because I didn't get to proof what the reporter had written, she's got some facts and figures wrong but on the whole, the gist of the story is there, my business gets a great plug, the VA industry gets a great plug and so does International VA Day. And I've already had 2 emails this afternoon from local VAs looking for outsourced work! (None from any businesses as yet, but hopefully that will come).
I'm quite chuffed, so I'll get it scanned hopefully tomorrow and let you all have a gander.
The pic's quite good so depending on the scanned quality, might use it in my website. Doubt very much if they'll provide me with the photographer's original. I will ask though!

Well done Marj, how exciting. Look forward to reading it when you get a chance to scan it in. Hope it brings in some new business for you.

Marj, thats great news. Cant wait to have a read. Why not see if they have a copy online and link to that on your website. Also make sure that you get a copy of the paper and have it framed and put it up on your office wall and it will motivate you _________________ Lyndsey Gilchrist

LOL! My office wall is referred to as my own personal standing ovation! I do like it...
Definitely a motivator and quite often people will read bits of it and say "Oh I didn't realise you did such and such..." so it has a business purpose too! |
