I set myself up as self employed when my website went 'live' so that I didn't get into trouble with the inland revenue!
I've just received a NI bill (admittidly only for £12)
I don't have any customers yet, do I still need to pay this? or should I write to them informing them I have not earned anything whilst being self employed. _________________ Jo Boswell

Thank you Dawn!
I've been so busy trying to get customers that I've not looked at the tax side yet!
Thanks

Apparently you have three months after you issue your first invoice to register with the Revenue. I was already registered through my other very small business though. I'm sure Dawn's right with the deferring though. Give them a ring if you've the nerve for it...their whole we're busy brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr drives me mad! _________________ Victoria Murray
