One of my fave websites for a little while was www.43things.com - basically you list 43 things you'd like to do, people can group together to achieve common goals, they support each other and commiserate along the way (I think it sends you email reminders when a deadline approaches too).

Anyway, yesterday I was reading about the biggest mistake people make with their social media marketing - and that is not to have a goal... So all the time they spend on it is just wasted. They have no idea whether the 10 new followers they got are also on their newsletter list, or if their website is getting clicked thru to from specific posts or whatever.

So, how about linking the two? (Except because I am truly lazy, I am going to do 3 things instead of 43!!!)

Three Marketing Things:
1) Less than 1% of our web traffic is currently coming from Twitter - I'd like to get this to 5% (obviously this depends on our success in other web marketing - LOL!)
2) I post regularly on a few business forums, I am going to connect with at least one member face to face each month
3) I ***AM*** going to update our website with a new page per month
