Why I Love Being A Virtual Assistant: Fiona of Support4Success

We’ve been looking for VAs to tell us why they started and what they love about being a virtual assistant.  Fiona Macpherson of Support 4 Success tells us why she loves being a VA…

Hi – my name is Fiona Macpherson and I established Support 4 Success in 2009.  In the past I have worked in both corporate and SME environments and found I enjoyed the variety that working for smaller businesses offer.  Having worked in recruitment for 13 years I understand how important a flexible workforce can be to a smaller company and identified a need for a more consistent but flexible service that agency workers cannot offer.

I have a wide range of clients and support them in many different ways and this allows me the opportunity to learn new skills in the process.  Although I work remotely I have made the decision to work predominantly with local companies as I like to meet them on a regular basis to discuss their ongoing business needs and ensure that I’m meeting their expectations.

Being self-employed can be a little bit daunting but the benefits far outweigh the negatives and I’ve built a great support network of business owners and clients along the way.

Tell us why you love being a virtual assistant.
